Mechanical Design Engineer – Water * Leading contractor working on long-term Thames Water & Southern Water projects * Excellent opportunity for further progression & career development SSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor who are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their successful MEICA team, working as part of their AMP8 frameworks for Thames Water & Southern Water. The role will involve: * Production of mechanical detailed design submissions * Working with design teams in the production of design & construction drawings and documentation * Liasing with civil, electrical, process and operations teams * Producing design deliverables including, but not limited to, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, pipework layouts, pipework schedules, P&E schedules, Pipe supports/thrust design, Mechanical GAs and layouts * Reviewing technical submissions * Maintaining design input throughout project lifecycle, from initial feasbility thorugh to outline and detailed design, and construction/handover. * Attending site meetings They can offer a strong salary & package, further professional development (MEng/Chartership etc), opportunities for progression within the business, & long-term projects (5 years+) in the region.
