About the Client

Our client is a leading international Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC engineering contractor delivering high-profile projects across the UK and Europe. Operating across sectors including Data Centres, Commercial, Life Sciences and Infrastructure, they have built a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects to the highest standards. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are currently looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working across major London-based projects valued up to £150m.

About the Role

Duties May Include:

  • Managing Commercial activities across allocated projects
  • Preparation of valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Preparation of cost reports and forecasts
  • Measuring from drawings and producing detailed take-offs
  • Preparation of bills of quantities including labour and material costs
  • Subcontractor procurement and management
  • Monitoring project costs and labour efficiencies
  • Supporting monthly CVRs and cashflow reporting
  • Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities
  • Working collaboratively with project delivery teams and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring timely and accurate commercial submissions throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project cost control
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental Systems
