Our client is looking for a proactive and committed SHEQ Advisor to support projects across minor works and repairs within the social housing sector in the South London and South Thames region. The right candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards across live sites. You will work closely with the SHEQ Manager, operational teams, and site staff to ensure compliance, promote best practices, and embed a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

About the client: Our client delivers essential infrastructure services across utilities and social infrastructure, supporting some of the UK’s largest network operators and housing providers. They specialise in planned maintenance, refurbishment, and repairs within the social housing sector. With over 20 years of experience, they are known for delivering quality work with care and respect for the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a Zero Harm approach
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Carry out site audits, inspections, and safety tours
  • Manage SHEQ reporting, including incidents, KPIs, and audits
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and support site teams
  • Monitor performance, maintain systems, and drive continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Experience within social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices
  • Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • TechIOSH membership
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid / Fire Marshal training
  • Asbestos Awareness
