About our Client

Our client are a leading specialist contractor who deliver complex projects across the infrastructure, aviation, data centre and reinforced concrete (RC) frame sectors. With a proven track record of successfully delivering airside works across airports, major RC frame developments across London and the South East, and large-scale infrastructure programmes, safety remains at the core of everything they do.

The Role

This is a site-based role supporting projects across Greater London and Brighton and Bristol. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, site management and operational personnel to ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and current legislation. You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, supporting project delivery teams and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace safety assessments across multiple projects.
  • Carry out risk assessments and provide practical advice on risk control measures.
  • Advise project and site management teams on health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Develop, review and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and site-specific documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
  • Monitor site activities and promote safe systems of work.
  • Support compliance with CDM Regulations, ISO 45001 and other relevant legislation and standards.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions where required.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Support the ongoing development of a positive health and safety culture across all projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, audits and compliance documentation.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or HSE Advisor role within construction.
  • Experience working within civils, RC frame, groundworks, infrastructure or aviation environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel across multiple live project locations.

Desirable

  • Experience working on airport, aviation or airside projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Membership of IOSH or working towards professional membership.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or data centre projects.
