About the Company: Our client is a well-established and respected construction and civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East. Specialising in groundworks, reinforced concrete (RC) frames, basements and infrastructure, they are known for maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and project delivery. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated Junior Health & Safety Advisor to support the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) function across multiple construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site inspections and health & safety audits across multiple construction sites.
- Support the implementation of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Support incident and accident investigations and reporting.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across project teams.
- Assist with delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings where required.
- Maintain accurate health and safety documentation and records.
- Liaise with site managers, engineers and supervisors to ensure safe working practices are maintained.
Requirements
Essential
- 1-2 years' experience working as a HSEQ Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor, or similar role within the construction industry.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
- Basic understanding of UK health & safety legislation within construction.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Desirable
- NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards it.
- Experience within groundworks, RC frames, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001).
- CSCS card.
