Job Description

My client, a well established civil engineering contractor are currently looking to recruit a HSEQ Manager. They have a strong reputation in the industry, delivering high-profile projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental management. The company specialise in remediation/earthworks, demolition & asbestos mitigation and development infrastructure.\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\nAs the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across multiple projects.

You will work closely with site teams, senior management, and clients to drive a strong safety culture while implementing and maintaining best practices across the business.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE regulations, CDM 2015, and company policies.\\n\\n * Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS): Develop, review, and approve RAMS to ensure safe site operations.\\n\\n * Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.\\n\\n * Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and incidents, providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.\\n\\n * Training & Inductions: Deliver H&S inductions and ongoing toolbox talks to site staff and subcontractors.\\n\\n * Environmental & Asbestos Safety: Ensure best practices for remediation, asbestos mitigation, and environmental compliance are upheld.\\n\\n * Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to maintain a proactive approach to health and safety.\\n\\n * Policy & Procedure Development: Continuously update and improve health, safety, and environmental procedures to align with industry best practices\\n\\nRequirements:\\nQualifications & Experience:\\n\\n * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (minimum NEBOSH Construction Certificate).\\n\\n * IOSH or IEMA Membership (desirable).\\n\\n * Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager position within civil engineering, earthworks, remediation, or demolition.\\n\\nOther Requirements:\\n\\n * Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.\\n\\n * Experience with asbestos mitigation, demolition procedures, and contaminated land safety measures.\\n\\n * Familiarity with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 management systems.\\n\\nWhat’s on Offer?\\n\\n * Salary £55k-£60k\\n\\n * Company Vehicle\\n\\n * 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays\\n\\n * Career progression opportunities\\n\\n * Pension
