Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering precise site engineering tasks within East Midlands housing and commercial projects. You’ll work under the Site Manager, collaborating with the site team to implement drawings, measurements, and programmes while maintaining quality and safety. The position offers growth through CPD and a clear impact on project delivery and relationships with subcontractors. This is a hands-on role in a reputable contractor environment with a focus on high-quality results.

Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and communicating site layouts and measurements
- Setting out and surveying to provide accurate lines, levels, and reference points
- Following and influencing the site programme to meet deadlines
- Site coordination of subcontractors and materials to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintaining accurate site records, ITPs, as-built drawings, and environmental compliance
- Upholding SHEQ standards in collaboration with the site team
- Developing team members and building relationships with subcontractors
- Continual professional development and applying best practice guidance
- Adhering to Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures
- Other tasks commensurate with the role
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a site engineer on residential builds, with some commercial exposure
- Third level qualification in Construction Engineering and Management, or similar
- Proficient in numeracy and IT (e.g. MS packages)
- Full, valid driving licence and site cards
- Deadline-driven with ability to motivate a team and take ownership of projects
