Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with strong Quality experience to support a major project in Milan, Italy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-based H&S professional with a strong understanding of both Health & Safety and Quality to take their experience into an international environment and work on a significant construction project.
The Role As an H&S Advisor, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day Health & Safety and Quality support across the project, working closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team to ensure high standards are maintained.
You will play an important role in identifying and managing risks, monitoring H&S and Quality compliance, carrying out inspections and audits, and promoting a strong and proactive culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day Health & Safety and Quality support across the project.
Carry out regular site inspections, quality inspections, audits and safety tours.
Monitor construction activities and ensure safe systems of work and quality standards are being followed.
Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and relevant quality documentation.
Identify Health & Safety and Quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Monitor subcontractor Health & Safety and Quality performance and compliance.
Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
Support the management of quality issues, defects and non-conformances.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings.
Maintain accurate Health & Safety and Quality documentation and records.
Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to address H&S and Quality concerns.
Assist with the implementation and monitoring of project H&S and Quality plans.
Support internal and external audits.
Promote a positive Health & Safety and Quality culture across site.
Ensure compliance with company, client and relevant local H&S and Quality requirements.
Requirements Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
Strong site-based construction experience.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
Previous Quality experience within a construction environment is essential.
Good understanding of construction Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
Experience with Risk Assessments, RAMS, site inspections and audits.
Experience with quality inspections, documentation, audits and non-conformances.
Strong understanding of construction quality standards and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with subcontractors and site management teams.
European/EU passport or existing right to work in Italy is essential.
UK construction experience is highly desirable.
Willingness to relocate to or work in Milan, Italy.
