Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.About the RoleWorking alongside the Senior Commercial Manager, you will support the commercial and cost management of multiple M&E projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their commercial career who wants to develop practical experience across procurement, valuations, cost control, variations and subcontractor management.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the procurement and commercial evaluation of subcontractors, suppliers and consultantsSupport the preparation of subcontract documentation, Bills of Quantities and tender comparisonsComplete measurements and take-offs of mechanical and electrical services from drawings and specificationsAssist with interim valuations, variations and final accountsSupport the preparation and maintenance of Cost Value ReconciliationsIdentify, record and commercially assess project changesAssist with subcontractor, consultant, supplier and labour-only paymentsDraft commercial correspondence for reviewMaintain accurate and up-to-date commercial recordsWork closely with site teams to support project deliveryAttend design, procurement, commercial and site meetingsProvide general commercial support across multiple projectsFollow all company procedures and health and safety requirementsSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience within construction or M&E contracting is desirableBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical installationsStrong numerical and analytical skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesOrganised, commercially aware and able to work effectively within a teamKeen to learn and develop within an M&E commercial environmentBenefitsSalary of 60,000–65,000Permanent position with an established M&E contractorOpportunity to work across multiple M&E projectsDirect support from an experienced Senior Commercial ManagerContinued commercial development and career progressionBroad exposure to procurement, cost control, valuations and final accounts
