We’re hiring a highly organised Resource Manager / Traffic Manager to lead resource planning, workflow management, and studio scheduling within a fast-paced creative agency / design studio environment. This is a key operational role focused on project delivery, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation, ensuring all creative projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at maximum efficiency. You’ll act as the central point across creative, design, client services, and freelance resource, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time.
Key Responsibilities (Resource Planning / Workflow / Traffic Management)
- Manage studio workflow, resource planning, and scheduling across creative teams
- Allocate work across designers, artworkers, and creative resource
- Lead workflow, traffic, and capacity planning meetings
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Manage freelancers, contractors, and external creative resource
- Oversee resource utilisation, studio capacity, and workload balancing
- Protect project margins and budgets through effective resource allocation
- Monitor project timelines, deadlines, and delivery schedules
- Provide reporting, forecasting, and operational insights
- Drive process improvement, workflow efficiency, and cost optimisation
Requirements (Resource Manager / Traffic Manager Profile)
- Proven experience as a Resource Manager, Traffic Manager, or Workflow Manager
- Background within a creative agency, marketing agency, branding agency, or design studio desirable but not essential
- Strong experience in resource planning, scheduling, and workflow management
- Experience managing internal teams and freelance / contract resource
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills
- Strong commercial awareness (budgets, utilisation, profitability)
- Confident stakeholder management across creative and client teams
- Proactive, solutions-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment
