The governors of SS Osmund and Andrew’s RCP School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, caring and flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in our school. The successful candidate will join a team of four High Level Teaching Assistants and a wider team of teaching assistants who play an integral role in the successes of our school. The successful candidate will be flexible and ready to hit the ground running, covering classes of all ages (3 to 11 years old) across the school.
Our HLTAs are responsible for providing cover in instances such as PPA, planned CPD, sickness cover or in releasing teachers to work on specific tasks. When not covering classes, the team supports teaching and learning across the school from EYFS to Year 6.
About You
You must have relevant experience of working with children in an education setting, preferably as a HLTA but experienced TAs of all levels are encouraged to apply. You will also be able to demonstrate experience, knowledge and understanding of:
- Planning, monitoring and supporting the delivery of teaching and learning
- Setting and promoting high standards of behaviour
- Engaging children and increasing participation in activities to practice and reinforce social and emotional skills
- Engaging parents and carers to maximise involvement in meeting children’s needs and well-being
- Working effectively as part of a team
About Us
SS Osmund & Andrew’s is a Roman Catholic faith-based primary school for 3-11 year olds which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. We moved to two form entry in September 2021 and are currently on a fabulous journey of development as our whole school community ‘Grow in Faith, on a journey of Hope, together in Love’. We were graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2023, who said “Staff feel extremely well supported by leaders because their well-being is prioritised and their workload is always taken into consideration”.
