We’re now looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Technician to support the delivery and commissioning of our technology across a wide range of dynamic projects. Please note—the role requires occasional international travel in support of our projects (sometimes with noticeably short notice).
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll support our field installation teams and subcontractors both remotely and on-site, overseeing the quality and integrity of complex electrical and mechanical system installs. From CCTV and power systems to maritime surveillance radars and gensets, your expertise will help ensure everything is installed to the highest standards—safely, accurately, and on time. This role involves regular UK and international travel, often at short notice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and approve proposed installation plans for electrical and mechanical systems
- Oversee or directly undertake equipment installations in the field
- Train and coach field engineering teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution
- Develop and maintain installation standards and procedures
- Review completed work, identify issues, and recommend remedial actions
- Provide technical input for commissioning activities across a wide range of equipment
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance to ensure peak performance
- Ensure full compliance with technical specifications, safety protocols, and regulations
- Generate detailed installation reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Support the design of long-term maintenance strategies for system reliability
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical installations (e.g. CCTV systems, building power systems, comms towers)
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety compliance, and networking fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator, able to support and coach others in technical best practice
- Flexibility and readiness to travel internationally at short notice
