This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Systems business and help to lead the definition and delivery of our Maritime Surveillance and Fisheries Monitoring solutions.
Location notes
- Hybrid, with at least 1 day a week in our Cardiff office
- Monthly travel to our Midsomer Norton office
- Occasional international travel
What You’ll Be Doing
- Take ownership of our Systems Solutions roadmap, providing overall clarity and vision to the systems development teams.
- Define product capabilities across distributed systems, desktop, web, data science, machine learning, edge computing and mobile.
- Be the subject matter expert on our systems products and solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical SMEs, and customers to define and refine innovative new features for our roadmap.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of product owners working alongside our software delivery team.
- Work closely with UX/UI design colleagues to ensure new features meet a high bar for usability and visual impact.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment across development teams.
- Understand the end-to-end use cases for our systems operators and how we can solve their challenges.
- Use your experience to evolve process, governance, and quality within our systems product team.
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive software product management experience, ideally in a B2B or B2G context.
- Team leadership experience within the Product domain.
- You’re comfortable working at pace, managing change and removing uncertainty.
- You have an eye for design quality and experience working with visualisation of complex data sets.
- Significant experience collaborating with UX/UI designers, data scientists, and developers.
- A clear and concise communicator, able to bring complex topics to a non-technical audience and infer requirements from non-technical stakeholders and users.
- You’ll have the ability to collaborate with and influence others across the business outside of your team.
- You can demonstrate a good understanding of best practice in Agile software delivery and the role of a product team in that context.
- You are pragmatic in your approach to Product Management and Agile delivery and willing to develop flexible approaches to delivery.
- Some background in software development will be beneficial as you’ll need to hold your own in technical discussions with our team.
- You’re happy to stretch your product skills into software delivery management.
- Any experience in the maritime intelligence or asset tracking domains is a bonus, as is experience with radio communications systems.
