We are recruiting a CAD Design Engineer - SolidWorks to work with project teams and customers on the build and integration of our systems. This role involves working on long-term projects, focusing on design, compliance, and collaboration with stakeholders. This position offers hybrid working options and is suitable for candidates in the Bristol, Malvern, Tewkesbury, Newport, Filton, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon, Reading, Stroud, Worcester, Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend, Cwmbran, Bath, Hereford areas.
Key Responsibilities- Creating technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Understanding project requirements and ensuring designs meet standards.
- Identifying and resolving design issues.
- Presenting designs and explaining technical details.
- Staying updated on industry trends and software updates.
- Designing project frameworks, estimating budgets and timelines, and advising on materials.
- Preparing documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience with civil project designs such as reinforced concrete, site design, drainage, and structures.
- Contributing to development of design aids and analysis of new concepts.
- Degree in Engineering or related field, or relevant experience and certifications.
- Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in civil engineering and design of communication towers or data centres is highly beneficial.
