The Finance Assistant – Projects will work within the project delivery function, liaising closely with UK and global project teams and the wider Finance team. Based in our Bristol office, the role offers hybrid flexibility and will support active cost control to minimise project delivery costs.
Responsibilities- Track, record and monitor costs versus budgets for our Global System Projects.
- Maintain accounting ledgers and postings for our projects.
- Liaise with in‑country project teams to process and approve project costs against agreed budgets and process purchase orders, ensuring financial paperwork and company processes are followed.
- Support the Projects Finance Director to prepare project financial reports.
- Review invoices to ensure they meet approved limits and contracts.
- Perform project finance administration.
- Previous experience in construction or manufacturing environments (highly desirable).
- QBE or a professional accounting qualification, or working towards one.
- Experience on international projects is desirable but not essential.
- Uncompromising attention to detail with proactive thinking.
- Appreciation of cultural differences and effective communication with overseas colleagues.
- Solid knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
