Please note - the role of Executive Assistant is based in Bristol, with the option to work from home 1 day per week.

Role overview:

The role of Executive Assistant will report directly to the CEO and support the executive management team of an established, fast-growing global technology company. This diverse and challenging role will suit a highly organised, self-motivated person who loves a challenge. It is pivotal for enabling leadership effectiveness by ensuring Directors can focus on delivering complex programmes, strategic priorities, and organisational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise and co-ordinate the team and ensure that tasks are completed.
  • Central point of coordination across Executive activity, maintaining visibility of priorities, actions, dependencies, identifying issues, and helping ensure progress is maintained.
  • Review Executive papers and outputs, ensuring they are clear, consistent, and decision-ready.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs, including meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Organise and produce confidential and complex management and board reports for internal and external use.
  • Manage diaries and events for UK and International activities.
  • Arrange and manage visits from customers and investors, adapting flexibly to changing organisational needs.
  • Maintain full confidentiality of sensitive business issues.
  • Prepare and track personal expenses and other ancillary expenditure.
  • Perform ad hoc confidential project work as required.

The role entails a high degree of trust, confidentiality, and responsibility.

Skills & Experience:

  • ESSENTIAL: Exceptional user of SharePoint and Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • ESSENTIAL: Previous experience of providing EA/PA support to a CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Experience in Defence, Engineering, Project, Manufacturing, or Governmental sectors would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Discreet and able to handle issues with great sensitivity.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities during busy periods.
  • Logical, proactive approach with a very high degree of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
