SRT Marine Systems plc (SRT) are a market leader in international marine surveillance technology and systems. We are an ambitious multi-national company headquartered in the UK with a global customer base. The company has a global impact in the marine domain by leading the next generation of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) technologies, products and systems that significantly enhance security, safety, and environmental protection and sustainability. Our customers range from the largest national coast guards to individual vessel owners.

As our Global Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for owning, coordinating, and driving SRT's global maintenance and servicing strategy, ensuring that deployed systems are maintained proactively throughout their operational lifecycle. This role will provide a central point of ownership for the planning, scheduling, coordination, and oversight of preventative and corrective maintenance activities across SRT's deployed systems.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will work closely with in-country engineering teams, Customer Success Managers, Level 1 support engineers, Project Engineering, Systems Development, Product Management, Delivery, and other business functions to ensure that maintenance activities are appropriately planned, resourced, and executed. You will coordinate with relevant functional and regional managers to secure the required resources and ensure that agreed maintenance commitments are delivered.

A key objective of the role is to transition SRT from a predominantly reactive maintenance model to a proactive, planned, and data-driven maintenance approach, improving system availability, reliability, customer satisfaction, and lifecycle performance. This role will require considerable time spent outside of the UK across our numerous and exciting projects.

Responsibilities - Global Maintenance Manager - not exhaustive:

  • Own and maintain the global maintenance schedule for SRT's deployed systems and infrastructure.
  • Establish a structured preventative maintenance programme covering the full lifecycle of deployed systems.
  • Identify and define required maintenance activities based on manufacturer recommendations, warranty requirements, system operating hours, equipment criticality, environmental conditions, historical failure data, and known equipment issues.
  • Develop appropriate maintenance frequencies and servicing requirements for different equipment types and system configurations.
  • Maintain visibility of upcoming maintenance requirements across all countries and programmes.
  • Coordinate with in-country Engineering Leads, Field Engineers, Global Engineering, CSMs, L1 Support, and other relevant functions to secure the resources required to deliver planned maintenance.
  • Establish and drive a formal Preventative Maintenance Programme across SRT's deployed systems.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed within agreed service windows.
  • Identify recurring failures and maintenance trends and develop interventions to prevent recurrence.
  • Establish appropriate inspection and servicing regimes for critical equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to replace, refurbish, or upgrade equipment before failure occurs.

Requirements - Global Maintenance Manager - not exhaustive:

  • A strong engineering background, with the technical depth to lead in this role.
  • Significant experience in maintenance management within complex technical, engineering, defence, maritime, telecoms, infrastructure, or similar environments.
  • Proven experience developing and managing preventative and planned maintenance programmes across multiple sites or geographically dispersed assets.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, including servicing, inspection, repair, refurbishment, replacement, and obsolescence.
  • Experience moving an organisation from reactive maintenance towards proactive/preventative maintenance.
  • Strong planning and scheduling capability, with the ability to manage maintenance requirements across multiple countries and competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering resources without direct line-management authority.
  • Experience developing maintenance procedures, service schedules, checklists, reporting, and governance processes.
  • Broad technical understanding of data centre and surveillance systems, buildings and facilities management, and the infrastructure systems that underpin them.

Benefits:

  • Highly Competitive Salary and benefits package.
  • 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with service.
  • Real individual development opportunities.
