The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven sales consultant to drive sales growth across a designated territory. This is a strategic field sales role focused on identifying and converting opportunities while developing profitable, long-term relationships with new and existing stockists. Operating from a fully remote basis, this role requires an individual who is highly organised, self-motivated and disciplined, with exceptional time and diary management skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Selling into builders’ merchants, timber merchants, specialist distributors and similar customers.
  • Create strong account relationships, recognising opportunities and maximising potential.
  • Identify new products and market gaps.
  • Account and product evaluation with key accounts.
  • Generating bespoke product profiles.
  • Generating structured business plans and driving them forward.
  • Setting call objectives and achieving them.
  • Selling in promotions.
  • Negotiating and applying new discounts on new and existing ranges.
  • Promoting web & EDI ordering.
  • Merchandising and training when required.
  • Attending various trade shows & exhibitions.
  • Ensuring the CRM software is used to its highest potential and all notes and contact information is up to date at all times.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Previous sales experience with proven track record is essential.
  • Confident & outgoing personality.
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills & commercial awareness of opportunities.
  • Good IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assist colleagues when required.
