They are seeking a high-calibre Specifications Manager to drive growth across the Southeast, focusing on rainscreen and façade systems. This role is centred on developing and managing a strong pipeline of specifications by engaging architects, specifiers, and design-led contractors, guiding projects from concept through to conversion. You will take a consultative, technically informed approach—delivering CPDs, influencing design decisions, and building long-term relationships to secure repeat business.

Objectives
  • Generate strong sustainable specification project pipeline working with Architects, Specifiers and selected end-users offering company products.
  • Develop, nurture and harvest strong working relationships with architects and associated specifiers.
  • Sponsor the conversion of the specification/project to invoice, discuss after-sales, customer service, guarantees and delivery schedules with customers accordingly.
  • Ensure the loyalty of existing customers is maintained.
  • Represent proactively and positively the company at Industry events where agreed.
  • Forecast future industry/market trends.
Principal duties
  • Deliver increased growth and specification pipeline including project conversion to invoice in line with budget and targets.
  • Conduct and deliver CPD Presentations and be versed in the promotion and application of industry/market influencing topics i.e. BIM, Sustainability, Whole Life Costs.
  • Sponsor specifications through their life cycle to conversion working with your trade peers.
  • Complete Project Tracking and Administration activities which support and quantify the creation and delivery of project specifications.
  • Achieve sales budgets and specification targets as set and defined to meet business growth.
  • Create and maintain a close, regular & professional working relationship with existing & prospective architects, end users, design led main contractors and specifiers to maximise market share.
  • Liaise with internal personnel to maximise customer service levels.
  • Work with the Technical team (where required) to provide detailed and accurate specification/schedule of company products as requested by our clients within their requested and agreed time frame.
  • Ensure architect, end users, design led main contractors and specifiers are kept up to date with appropriate sales/marketing literature and provide working samples where applicable.

  • Ensure that you operate in an ethical and responsible manner whilst protecting the interests of the company.
  • Promptly & competently attend to all specification enquiries.
  • Promptly & professionally handle any complaints.
  • Attend Sales Meetings, Product Promotions, Training Sessions and other industry related functions when required.
  • Ensure all reports and records are maintained.
  • Monitor Competitor and Customer activity and report back accordingly.
  • Set an example in acting according to our corporate values.
