This is an opportunity to represent one of the most forward thinking, progressive and design led manufacturers of highly sustainable commercial interior products. Their products are specified into some of the most exciting hotels, restaurants, bars, private members clubs and leisure destinations across London and beyond. This role offers genuine visibility, influence and career progression for someone who wants to be known in the hospitality design space and play a key role in shaping premium environments where design, performance and experience truly matter.
The Role
This role is about influence, presence and commercial impact within the hospitality and leisure sector. You will be responsible for driving specification and conversion on a project-by-project basis across hospitality led developments, working closely with architects, interior designers, design and build partners, contractors and hospitality end user clients. The position is predominantly field based across Central London, with regular access to an exceptional Clerkenwell showroom space. A significant portion of time will be spent immersed in the A&D and hospitality ecosystem, including daytime meetings and evening networking events.
Responsibilities
- Raise and strengthen the brand profile within the hospitality and leisure sector, positioning the business as a trusted and preferred partner.
- Drive specification into hotels, lifestyle hospitality brands, restaurants, bars, private members clubs and leisure led developments from concept stage through to completion.
- Build, develop and maintain long term relationships with architects, interior designers, design and build companies, procurement teams, contractors and hospitality end users.
- Act as a visible brand ambassador within the Central London design and hospitality community, attending industry events, launches, showroom visits and networking evenings.
- Sell and promote on design, sustainability, performance and experience rather than price, influencing material selection in premium hospitality environments.
- Identify, track and convert long cycle hospitality and leisure projects, maintaining a strong and realistic sales pipeline.
- Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills to secure profitable outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with internal colleagues to ensure specification protection, project alignment and successful delivery.
- Confidently deliver product forums, CPD presentations, lunch and learns and informal design discussions.
- Complete administration accurately and on time to support reporting, forecasting and strategic planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
To be considered, candidates must be based within a reasonable commute of Central London and be comfortable working remotely as well as from the Clerkenwell showroom. Essential experience and attributes include:
- A strong track record in specification or project led sales within hospitality, leisure or design led commercial interiors.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience promoting interior design focused products or services.
- A well-established network across architects, interior designers, design and build firms and hospitality stakeholders within Central London and the wider UK if possible.
- A clear understanding of how hospitality and leisure projects are conceived, specified, funded and delivered.
- Experience managing long term, multi stakeholder project sales cycles.
- A natural presence within the A&D and hospitality community, confident networking and relationship building at all levels.
- A commercially astute, business development driven mindset with a clear focus on growth.
- Evidence of stability, performance and success in previous roles.
- Strong team player with a collaborative and professional approach.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with the motivation and autonomy to develop business within the target sector.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong IT skills including Excel.
The Person
This role will suit someone who enjoys autonomy, visibility and relationship led sales. You are comfortable operating in architect studios, design agencies, hospitality groups and client facing environments, and you are equally confident discussing aesthetics and guest experience as you are negotiating commercial terms and closing business. You take pride in representing premium, design driven brands and want to build a long-term career rather than simply manage accounts.
What’s in it for you?
- Strong basic salary up to £65,000 (higher basic available if exceptional value is demonstrated).
- Uncapped bonus with over target accelerators.
- Low Tax Company car or competitive travel allowance.
- Pension & Healthcare.
- Mobile and laptop.
