Responsible for: Structural Engineering Design of Facades
Scope & Purpose of the Job:
The primary role involves structural engineering analysis and calculations, along with facade engineering tasks such as site monitoring, design, drawings, facade surveys, and assessments of existing buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Producing engineering analysis and structural calculations for projects.
- Reviewing work of external structural engineering consultants.
- Creating programs and spreadsheets for automated calculations.
- Developing standard calculations within TEDDS.
- Visiting sites as required.
- Staying updated on facade structural and product information relevant to the industry.
- Supporting directors, associates, and senior staff with various tasks.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned, and you will have regular discussions with a Director regarding your work.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of structural engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Working towards Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
- An MSc is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of facade materials, products, manufacturing, and construction methods.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in structural design, including within the facade engineering industry.
Qualifications and Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
