This is a senior commercial leadership role with full responsibility for driving sales strategy, business development, and commercial growth across the division. Person Specification- Excellent track record of sales experience within the construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of the requirements of the Building Safety Act
- Ability to successfully manage and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers
- Well organised, self-motivated, and professional, with the flexibility for extensive travel and several nights away per week
- Experienced in negotiating terms and managing supply chain relationships
- Ability to achieve objectives independently as well as part of a team
- Computer literate with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Must possess a full driving licence
- Must be eligible and able to prove the right to work in the UK, as the company does not hold a sponsorship licence
- Responsible for all aspects of sales, including maintaining and improving margin, volumes, operating profit, and ensuring the division achieves budget expectations across SFS systems
- Strategically ensuring the business develops an offering aligned with the requirements of the Building Safety Act
- Working with the national network of installers to develop the subcontractor market, identify new opportunities, and maintain and strengthen existing relationships
- Liaising with the Marketing Department to support marketing and advertising campaigns while promoting new products, software, and literature
- Managing, developing, and motivating Regional Sales Managers while supporting them across all commercial aspects, including performance reviews, appraisals, and sales incentives
- Developing strong relationships with key main contractor supply chain partners while strategically identifying and onboarding new partners where opportunities arise
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all internal departments regarding credit control, internal sales, Salesforce implementation, design and detailing, and production
- Reporting monthly and quarterly on trading performance, forecasts, invoiced sales, competitor activity, market issues, and opportunities via CRM
- Identifying new market opportunities and developing these into potential new products and services
