The company designs and supplies high-performance lightweight galvanised steel framing systems that are transforming modern construction across the UK and Ireland. Their fast-track SFS solutions offer unmatched speed, strength, and efficiency, delivered on-site as infill walling or complete load-bearing structures for residential, education, commercial, and healthcare projects.

The company is now seeking a Sales Director to lead its Framing Division. This is a senior commercial leadership role with full responsibility for driving sales strategy, business development, and commercial growth across the division. This opportunity is ideally suited to a proven sales leader with a passion for innovative offsite construction solutions who is looking to play a pivotal role in scaling a high-growth division and making a significant impact.

Person Specification

  • Excellent track record of sales experience within the construction industry
  • Extensive knowledge of the requirements of the Building Safety Act
  • Ability to successfully manage and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers
  • Well organised, self-motivated, and professional, with the flexibility for extensive travel and several nights away per week
  • Experienced in negotiating terms and managing supply chain relationships
  • Ability to achieve objectives independently as well as part of a team
  • Computer literate with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Must possess a full driving licence
  • Must be eligible and able to prove the right to work in the UK, as the company does not hold a sponsorship licence

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of sales, including maintaining and improving margin, volumes, operating profit, and ensuring the division achieves budget expectations across SFS systems
  • Strategically ensuring the business develops an offering aligned with the requirements of the Building Safety Act
  • Working with the national network of installers to develop the subcontractor market, identify new opportunities, and maintain and strengthen existing relationships
  • Liaising with the Marketing Department to support marketing and advertising campaigns while promoting new products, software, and literature
  • Managing, developing, and motivating Regional Sales Managers while supporting them across all commercial aspects, including performance reviews, appraisals, and sales incentives
  • Developing strong relationships with key main contractor supply chain partners while strategically identifying and onboarding new partners where opportunities arise
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all internal departments regarding credit control, internal sales, Salesforce implementation, design and detailing, and production
  • Reporting monthly and quarterly on trading performance, forecasts, invoiced sales, competitor activity, market issues, and opportunities via CRM
  • Identifying new market opportunities and developing these into potential new products and services
