Our client is a national, leading provider of hire services across the UK. They offer a wide range of equipment and machinery to support construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects. As a company committed to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, they are looking for a Mobile Digital Installation Engineer.
The Role
This role will involve supporting the Digital division with both installation of Trimble Earthworks, GCS900, and Leica MC1 machine control systems on site for customers or in one of our depots situated around the UK. You will be fitting wiring harnesses to pre-approved specifications set out by the manufacturer, including calibration, welding, and fabrication of sensor brackets and mast mounts. The role includes the delivery, installation, and set-up of various cab kits for customers on their sites. The territory to be covered includes the South West and surrounding areas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivery and fitting wiring harnesses to pre-approved specifications on customer sites
- Calibration of harness
- Welding and fabrication of sensor brackets and mast mounts
- Installation of human form recognition cameras, height and slew restrictors, and any other innovations as the role develops
Skills/Experience Required:
- Full driving licence
- Sound auto-electrical/mechanical knowledge
- Digital machine control systems knowledge (Trimble Earthworks and Leica MC1)
- Previous experience of setting up calibration of excavators and dozers
- High standard of welding/fabrication to include hot works
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- Understanding of Risk assessments and method statements
