Are you a commercially driven specification sales professional who thrives in the London design and hospitality environment and enjoys influencing projects from the earliest concept stage? This is an opportunity to represent a highly design led, premium manufacturer operating within the flooring and commercial interiors sector. The business is specified into some of London’s most high-profile hospitality, workplace, and mixed-use developments, working closely with leading architects, interior designers, contractors, and end user clients. This role offers genuine visibility, influence, and long-term career opportunity for someone who wants to be recognised within the London A&D community as a trusted, design led commercial partner.
This is a senior, consultative specification sales role focused on sustainable, profitable growth across Central London. You will be responsible for driving specification, protecting margin, and converting projects across hospitality led and design driven commercial developments. The role requires early-stage influence, long term relationship building, and disciplined opportunity management through the full design to order lifecycle. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, acting as a visible brand ambassador within the London design community, while working closely with internal colleagues to ensure alignment, delivery, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and exceed agreed sales, margin, and growth targets across the London territory.
- Develop and execute a London focused territory and account strategy based on market density, project pipelines, and strategic account value.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new project opportunities across hospitality, commercial interiors, and mixed-use developments.
- Drive specification led sales by influencing projects early and managing opportunities through the full design to order lifecycle.
- Maintain a strong, realistic pipeline and forecast with a clear focus on conversion and profitability.
Strategic Account & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted, senior level relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, hospitality owners, and end user clients.
- Proactively engage all project stakeholders to secure approval, specification, and timely purchase decisions.
- Manage key and strategic accounts with a long term, value-based approach rather than transactional selling.
- Navigate complex, multi stakeholder decision making environments typical of London based projects.
Design Led & Consultative Selling
- Interpret design briefs and provide informed design consultation, product guidance, and flooring expertise.
- Sell on design quality, performance, sustainability, and experience rather than price.
- Deliver compelling product presentations, CPDs, and design discussions both in person and virtually.
- Position the company as a premium, design forward, and reliable partner within the built environment.
Market Presence & Brand Development
- Strengthen the company’s presence and reputation within the London A&D and hospitality community.
- Act as a visible brand ambassador at design studios, industry events, showroom meetings, and networking forums.
- Increase market share by expanding reach across a broad universe of London based specifiers and influencers.
- Gather and share market, competitor, and customer insights to support pricing, product development, and go to market strategy.
CRM, Reporting & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Use data and insight to improve conversion rates and shorten sales cycles.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure specification protection, project alignment, and successful delivery.
- Support international and multi market projects where required, sharing insight and best practice.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in specification or project led sales within London.
- Strong understanding of the London design, hospitality, and commercial interiors market.
- Experience promoting flooring, interior finishes, or design led building products.
- Demonstrated success managing long sales cycles, complex stakeholders, and competitive project environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue, margin, and performance.
- Confident communicator and presenter with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Confident using CRM systems, digital tools, and virtual selling platforms.
- Full UK driving license.
This role goes beyond transactional selling, placing you at the centre of London’s A&D and hospitality community with real commercial influence. You will be confident operating across architect studios, design agencies, contractors, and hospitality groups, guiding projects from early design conversations through to specification, negotiation, and commercial conversion. Representing premium, design led flooring solutions, you will focus on building long term relationships and sustainable pipelines rather than short term, price driven wins. For a commercially driven specification sales professional who values influence, credibility, and seeing projects convert from concept to completion, this is a genuinely rewarding opportunity.
