The Opportunity
They are seeking a talented HVAC Engineer with Air Conditioning fault-finding, repairs, service, maintenance and installation experience however if you also have experience dealing in a service and maintenance capacity with scroll, centrifugal, water, air, vapor absorption and/or compression chillers this would be highly advantageous but not essential. This is a specialist role with strong growth potential in a niche and evolving market.
You’ll be based out in the field primarily operating within the M25, working across HVAC systems designed specifically for air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration in the Commercial or Industrial sector.
Job Purpose
To identify issues/fault finding, repairing, service and maintaining air conditioning equipment and aligned HVAC systems.
Job Dimensions
- Diagnose faults, repair, and commission HVAC systems
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to high standards
- Complete testing, reports, and documentation efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with Service Support Team to maximise performance and response time
- Maintain safe working practices and uphold the company’s reputation on-site
- Keep workspaces clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
Duties
- Ad-hoc repairs on various HVAC systems
- Service & Maintenance of HVAC systems
- Fault Finding
- Cleaning HVAC units.
- Pre-testing and post-testing of HVAC units.
- Replacing various components from HVAC units.
- Completing test reports.
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Review and update overhaul/repair specifications.
Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on HVAC engineering experience
- Strong air conditioning repair/commissioning skills
- Proven electrical fault-finding abilities
- FGAS certification
- CITB Skills Card
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical accuracy
- Computer literate with solid communication skills
- A self-starter with a proactive, team-focused mindset
