The ideal candidate will be based within London South, Surrey, Sussex, Kent or the Southern Home Counties, with strong geographical knowledge of the territory and the ability to travel regularly across the region. A close link to the client’s Kent office would be beneficial, although location is flexible for the right person.

This is a commercially important Business Manager position with a well-established and widely recognised specialist in high-security entrance solutions. The business delivers technically advanced products and project solutions across some of the UK’s most demanding built environments, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, data centres, government facilities, corporate environments and high-security sites.
The role will focus on London South and the Southern Home Counties, with clear responsibility for driving regional sales performance, developing new project opportunities, managing existing relationships and converting pipeline into commercially sound orders. This is not a passive account management role. My client is looking for someone who can take control of a defined patch, create activity, build relationships, influence stakeholders, manage project opportunities and represent the business credibly across the region.

- Take full ownership of the London South and Southern Home Counties territory, developing and delivering a clear regional sales plan.
- Identify, develop and convert new project opportunities across the region.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, main contractors, system integrators, installers, end users and wider project stakeholders.
- Act as the key account manager and primary point of contact for relevant regional clients and opportunities.
- Drive sales performance by managing activity, pipeline, conversion, order intake and financial targets.
- Promote the company’s full range of high-security entrance and access control solutions, maintaining strong product, technical and commercial understanding.
- Influence specifications and guide opportunities from early-stage engagement through to order, handover and delivery.
- Lead client meetings, site visits, presentations and regional activity in a professional and credible manner.
- Negotiate and close opportunities while maintaining commercial discipline, margin awareness and deliverable outcomes.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting, forecasting and project tracking.
- Work closely with internal teams to coordinate specifications, design, pricing, proposals and delivery requirements.
- Ensure structured and effective handover into project delivery teams, maintaining clarity through mobilisation and execution.
- Support long‑term client relationships, repeat business and the uptake of service or maintenance contracts where relevant.
- Represent the company at regional industry events, client meetings and market‑facing activity.
- A proven sales professional with experience in specification‑led, project‑led or consultative B2B sales.
- Experience within security products, entrance systems, access control, automatic doors, aluminium systems, lifts, escalators, building systems, M&E, construction products or another aligned technical product sector would be highly relevant.
- A strong understanding of project sales cycles, stakeholder influence, specification, contractor engagement and end user requirements.
- The ability to build relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, system integrators, installers, end users and other relevant decision makers.
- Strong new business development capability, with the confidence to create activity rather than rely on inbound enquiries.
- Commercial awareness, including the ability to manage pipeline, negotiate effectively, protect margin and convert opportunities properly.
- A professional, credible and structured approach to CRM, forecasting, reporting and internal communication.
- The ability to understand technical products and translate client requirements into commercially sound solutions.
- Strong geographical knowledge of London South and the Home Counties South.
- The ability to operate with autonomy, discipline and ownership across a defined regional patch.
- CAD knowledge may be advantageous but is not essential.
Must be eligible for SC clearance — non‑negotiable DV clearance preferable (Typically requires British Citizenship and 5+ years UK residency).
