SRS Recruitment are one of the UK’s leading Construction Products Recruiters and we are delighted to have the opportunity to be assisting a leading Independent Timber Merchant who due to expansion are seeking an experienced, professional Branch Manager. The role will require an ambitious individual who will be responsible for promoting and developing this already busy and established branch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a career-driven individual who will play a vital role within the business and continually look for ways of improving procedures and driving the Branch forwards.

As Branch Manager you will develop and manage the Depot and provide the highest levels of customer service, in order to maximise sales and profitability. You will lead, motivate and support your team.

Key Responsibilities as Branch Manager:
  • Ensure Branch is compliant with all Health & Safety.
  • Support, motivate, coach and help raise the performance standards of your team.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identify key players.
  • Build both supplier and customer relationships to improve the sales and margin capability of the Branch.
  • Ensure all sales orders, follow up sales enquiries and delivery schedules are done quickly and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required as Branch Manager:
  • Proven experience in a Timber / Builders Merchants in a managerial position.
  • Experience within the building supply trade essential.
  • General Construction knowledge essential & knowledge of the Construction sector.
  • Excellent people management skills, self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Experience of Team Building.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Customer focused with sound commercial skills.
  • Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook.

Location/Area: SOUTH WALES

Salary: Competitive remuneration package / Bonus
