Job Description Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm \n £16.00 per hour (£17.93 per hour including holiday pay) Monday to Friday | Walton Summit, Preston | Temp to Perm \n Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver or a newly qualified HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent? \n We are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to join our client based in Walton Summit, Preston . This is an excellent temp-to-perm Class 2 driving job , offering regular Monday to Friday work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position. \n The Role - Class 2 Driver \n As a Class 2 Driver , you will be responsible for delivering flooring products to commercial customers across the UK. \n You will typically complete 7-12 deliveries per day , with regular routes allowing you to build good knowledge of your customers and delivery areas. \n \n Monday to Friday \n Start times between 04:00 and 06:00 \n Approximately 7-12 deliveries per day \n Delivering flooring products to commercial customers \n Around 99% of deliveries are unloaded using an FLT \n Occasional handballing may be required \n Regular delivery routes \n 2-3 nights out per week may be required for Scotland routes \n Nights out operate on a rota, so you will not be required to do them every week \n Guaranteed 45 hours per week once permanent \n Drivers currently average approximately 37 hours per week \n \n Pay - Class 2 Driver \n £16.00 per hour \n £17.93 per hour including holiday pay \n The position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis , giving you the opportunity to move into a permanent position with the client. \n Class 2 Driver Requirements \n To be considered for this Class 2 Driver position, you will need: \n \n Valid Class 2 / Cat C HGV licence \n Valid Driver CPC \n Valid Digital Tachograph Card \n No more than 3 points on your driving licence \n Newly qualified Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply \n Previous Class 2 driving experience is advantageous but not essential \n Good customer service skills \n Reliable and professional approach to work \n Flexibility to complete occasional nights out \n \n Assessment & Start Date \n Following registration with us, you will meet with the client and complete a short 30-minute assessment drive . \n Immediate starts are available for suitable Class 2 Drivers. \n If you are looking for a Class 2 Driver job in Preston, Walton Summit or Lancashire , and want the opportunity to move from agency work into a permanent position, we would like to hear from you. \n Job Types: Full-time, Temp to Perm Job Title: Class 2 Driver / HGV Class 2 Driver / LGV Cat C Driver Location: Walton Summit, Preston, Lancashire Hours: Monday to Friday Pay: £16.00 per hour (£17.93 including holiday pay) \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
