Are you a newly passed Class 1 Driver with at least six months on your licence and finding it difficult to secure your first opportunity within the industry? If so, we have an excellent opportunity available with our client based in Trafford Park, with confirmed work available immediately. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Class 1 Driver to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation, offering ongoing work on either days or nights, Monday to Friday.
Day Shifts
As a Class 1 Driver on days, you will be completing palletised deliveries to customers across the Manchester area using curtain-sided trailers. This role involves a physical element, as you may be required to assist customers by moving pallets when necessary. You will also be responsible for securing loads using ratchet straps and ensuring trailer curtains are safely fastened. Whilst this opportunity is suitable for drivers with six months' experience, applicants must have previous Class 1 driving experience and be confident using a tachograph card, including correct mode selections and compliance with drivers' hours regulations.
Night Shifts
As a Class 1 Driver on nights, you will be carrying out full-load trunking work to customer sites, with up to three delivery points per shift. The work is completed using curtain-sided trailers, so experience securing loads with ratchet straps and operating trailer curtains safely is essential.

- A Class 1 Driver who demonstrates a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

Pay Rates
- Days: £17.37 per hour (including holiday pay)
- Nights: £19.05 per hour (including holiday pay)
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of six months held
- At least six months' experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Experience using curtain-sided trailers and load-securing equipment
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
Shift Information
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts: 06:00 starts (approximately 10-12 hours per shift)
- Night shifts: 18:00 starts (approximately 10-12 hours per shift)
