Job Title Class 1 Tramper Driver Sunday to Thursday Rochdale Job Description Class 1 Tramper Drivers Wanted in Rochdale Specialist Recruitment Solutions are recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Tramper Drivers for a new contract based in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for Class 1 drivers looking for regular ongoing work, guaranteed paid hours and straightforward trunking work on an Amazon contract. The role involves trunking between Amazon depots across the UK, with no handball and no involvement in loading or unloading. Depots are generally located close to motorway networks, helping to make this an easy and straightforward driving role. Class 1 Tramper Driver Pay Rates Pay rate £18.18 per hour Pay rate including holiday pay £20.37 per hour Guaranteed 11 hours pay per shift Sunday bonus of £30 Working pattern Sunday to Thursday Location Rochdale You will be paid for 11 hours per shift, (55 hours for the week), giving you guaranteed earnings for each shift worked. Class 1 Tramper Driver Job Responsibilities Driving a Class 1 HGV vehicle on the Amazon contract Completing trunking work between depots throughout the UK Working Sunday to Thursday Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time Following all road safety regulations and drivers hours legislation Keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any defects Using approved SNAP parking facilities when stopping overnight This role involves no handball, with no requirement to load or unload the vehicle yourself. Driver Requirements To be considered for this Class 1 Tramper Driver position, you must have the following A valid Category C + E Class 1 driving licence held for at least two years A valid Driver CPC card A valid digital tachograph card No more than six penalty points on your driving licence No DD DG IN or CD endorsement codes accepted due to insurance requirements Willingness to complete a pre employment drug and alcohol test Willingness to complete a DBS check A professional attitude towards driving and road safety Class 1 Tramper Driver Benefits Consistent Sunday to Thursday working pattern Guaranteed 11 hours pay per shift Additional £30 bonus for Sunday work Straightforward trunking work across the UK No handball or manual loading and unloading Fully equipped vehicles suitable for tramping Fridge microwave and inverter provided in the cab Same vehicle allocated to you so you can leave your equipment in the cab between shifts Overnight parking arranged exclusively through SNAP approved facilities Ongoing work on a new contract All vehicles are equipped to make overnight stays more comfortable. You will remain in the same vehicle, allowing you to keep your personal equipment in the cab when your shift has finished. All overnight parking must be completed using SNAP facilities, with no layby parking permitted.
