Job Title: A&D SALES CONSULTANT

Location: LONDON – SE, SW, WC1, WC2, TW, KT, UB, CR (MAIN FOCUS = SE & SW LONDON)

Job Description:

Are you a driven design-focused specification sales professional with experience in promoting premium Commercial Interior products to Architects, Interior Designers, D&B Companies, Subcontractors, and End Users? Are you also familiar with project tracking and managing a network of Specialist sub-contractors and installers?

If so, we are working with a leading Manufacturer of DESIGN LED FLOOR COVERING SOLUTIONS who are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced A&D Sales Consultant to join their team with responsibility for promoting their products in London with a specific emphasis on the A&D Community.

The Role:

To promote our client\’s high-quality, market-leading range of Floor Covering solutions, mainly via Interior Designers, Architects, contractors, and end-user clients by raising awareness, generating sales, and hitting agreed targets whilst working closely with other members of the team both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  1. Raise our client\’s profile within the London region. Expand the existing customer base, devise and execute strategic targeted business plans, and share project information resulting in overall sales growth.
  2. Manage, develop, and proactively grow existing accounts – BDG, DRMM, Fabric, Grid, JRA, Modus, MCM to name a few.
  3. Network and entertain clients and customers during the day and evening.
  4. Embrace the A&D Community.
  5. Grow sales within agreed target markets – Commercial Office & Workplace (CORE FOCUS), Retail, High Street and luxury fashion, Hospitality & Leisure (secondary market sectors).
  6. Have a strong understanding of the various contract types and the decision-makers/stakeholders within the procurement process.
  7. Be professional and competent at presenting CPD presentations, lunch and learns, etc.
  8. Promote solutions on design capabilities over and above price.
  9. Protect specifications at contractor stage (value engineering).
  10. Complete relevant reports on time and when required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Highly proactive and self-motivated individual who can work well on their own or in a team. Demonstrate the potential and ambition to grow within the company.
  2. Ideally, candidates should have a background in FLOOR COVERINGS, ACOUSTICS, TEXTILES, FABRICS, WALLCOVERINGS, FURNITURE, or other closely aligned commercial interior products.
  3. Ability to manage own area, introduce tailored customer solutions to drive sales forward.
  4. New business-focused with the ability to grow, nurture, and develop established key accounts.
  5. Proven track record and a proactive approach to Solution Selling to Designers and Specifiers, preferably in South London.
  6. Competent IT skills are required – MS Office, Word, Outlook, etc.
  7. Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to problem-solving.
  8. Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
  9. Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.
  10. A high degree of professionalism and an exceptional understanding of the specification design process with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.
  11. Ability to prioritize work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.
