Our client is a multinational specialist insurance broker focusing on large and complex risk. Working in a dynamic, collaborative team, you will develop new business and serve as the lead broker on the placement of complex warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance solutions, among the most novel and high‑profile in the M&A market. Following a period of practical learning with support from colleagues, you will lead on structuring W&I insurance solutions in a timely, technically proficient, accurate and compliant manner while collaborating on other transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key client decision makers, internal stakeholders and professional advisors.
  • Develop additional business from existing team and group clients and identify opportunities from new clients.
  • Stay aware of economic trends, M&A activity and issues affecting W&I insurance, including large and complex claims.
  • Commit to technical excellence, continuous learning and a high detail focus.

Qualifications

  • Qualified corporate or restructuring lawyer from a reputable UK or US law firm.

Required Skills

  • Significant experience advising on M&A transactions, including familiarity with and negotiation of purchase agreements.
  • Experience in corporate and private equity to understand client needs when procuring W&I.

Preferred Experience

  • US inbound bulge‑bracket deal exposure.
