We're working with a premier global investment banking firm, a household name in financial services, on a newly available AVP position within their EMEA & Asia tax function. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-quality in-house role with genuine breadth, covering multiple jurisdictions across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
The Role
You'll sit within the corporate tax function, supporting the CT VP on the end-to-end tax affairs of a complex, multi-entity group spanning the UK, Germany, Spain, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Japan.
The key responsibilities will be:
- Monthly tax provision reporting and working papers across EMEA and Asia Pacific entities
- Preparation of current and deferred tax provisions, journals, and reconciliations
- Supporting local finance and advisors in corporate tax return preparation and analysis
- A variety of international tax projects and responses to ad hoc advisory requests from the business
- Supporting operations and the investment management teams in new business initiatives from tax perspective
- Quarterly instalment and payment on account calculations across multiple jurisdictions
- Statutory tax notes under FRS and UK GAAP for UK entities
- Stakeholder management including external advisors and HMRC
What they're looking for:
- Qualified accountant with a corporate tax specialism (ACA, CTA or equivalent)
- Experience in tax accounting and provisions
- Exposure to international jurisdictions — a real plus
- Awareness of Transfer Pricing and WHT
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- UK GAAP knowledge essential; US GAAP familiarity a bonus
