The predicted salary is between 55000 - 70000 Β£ per year.
To act as a finance business partner across the business, providing forward looking FP&A insight and challenge to senior stakeholders. The role will carry out monthly performance analysis, support the monthly reporting, forecasting and business planning cycles, and continuously seek new ways to add insight and value.
Month End Reporting: Support the month end process, to include:
- Review of a selection of Business areas, and assist with continuous improvement of insight and analysis.
- Review and comparison to budget and expectation of group performance, both in the month and year to forecasting process.
- Review of monthly financial performance packs presented to budget holders and other key internal stakeholders, challenging variances and assumptions within forecasts.
- Preparation of reporting data to flow into the group management accounts.
Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Planning: Support the annual budgeting and business plan update process, including:
- Reviewing budget models prepared by other members of the team.
- Review budget from a group level and assist preparation of budget review packs by providing analysis and insight.
- Preparation of budget pack to go to Senior Management.
- Delivering insight and analysis of budgets and business plans to ensure long-term trends are identified and communicated to stakeholders.
- Supporting / reviewing certain areas of costs at group level, to include below EBITDA budgeting.
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager β FP&A, in delivering the group balance sheet model, group budget submission, and annual business valuation model process.
Insight and Analysis: Support processes to deliver insight and analysis regarding key areas of business performance:
- Monitoring KPIs, understanding any deviations from expectation and, where required, engaging other members of the Finance team and wider business, in identifying and implementing remedial actions.
- Supporting business engagement to ensure maximum value from business unit/department level information from the business as required, to provide to the Commercial finance / Corporate finance teams, to enhance the accuracy of reporting and to feed into models.
- Support monthly internal review procedures to enhance Senior Management understanding of business performance, including development of material and agenda for monthly Finance Review (Management Accounts) meetings.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager β FP&A, in the development of ad hoc models to support investment, business development and other corporate initiatives such as the implementation of Activity Based Costing.
Person Specification: A or equivalent experience of working in an FP&A team including business partnering, with a proven track record in delivering results on time, and in building and maintaining relationships at a variety of levels. Competent user of Excel with experience of reviewing and interpreting spreadsheets which may have a variety of different formats.
