Project Manager
Location: Hampshire, Somerset, Devon / Hybrid (Flexible)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and autonomous Project Manager to join a fast-growing, multi-site engineering group. Operating at the forefront of precision casting, machining, and fabrication, the business works with high-spec global industries including defense, aerospace, energy, and medical performance sectors.
As the group expands, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving group-wide operational alignment and leading key commercial onboarding initiatives.
Role Overview
Written with flexibility in mind, this position requires a self-starter who excels at working independently. Specific manufacturing or engineering industry background is not required β strong, structured project management fundamentals and transferable delivery experience are what truly matter.
The successful candidate will operate across two core focus areas:
- Group Integration & Standardisation: Driving the alignment of processes, operational systems, and best practices across multiple group entities to support scalable growth.
- Commercial & Business Onboarding: Managing the end-to-end commercial onboarding of new clients and integrating new revenue lines seamlessly into standard operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Alignment: Audit, standardise, and roll out unified operational processes and systems across individual group businesses.
- Commercial Integration: Lead the project lifecycle for onboarding new enterprise clients, ensuring milestone delivery, cross-departmental coordination, and smooth transitions into live production.
- Autonomous Delivery: Map out project scopes, set milestones, track KPIs, and resolve bottlenecks independently with minimal oversight.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, site directors, and external clients to align project goals and ensure clarity at every stage.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised Qualification: PRINCE2 (Practitioner/Foundation), APM, PMP, or an equivalent structured project management accreditation.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within scope (open to candidates from any fast-paced industry sector).
- Self-Driven Working Style: Ability to act as an independent self-starter, take full ownership of deliverables, and set your own structure in a dynamic environment.
- Commercial Acumen: Familiarity with client onboarding, contract execution, or service integration into broader business operations.
- Change & System Integration: Experience managing process improvement or system implementation projects across multiple business units or locations.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and performance benefits package.
- High visibility across senior leadership with direct impact on group integration strategy.
