We’re hiring a Payroll and Finance Specialist to join our client's finance team in a manufacturing environment. You’ll lead accurate payroll processing (from manual to digital systems), support HR with payroll queries, and contribute to month-end financials and reporting.

  • Payroll Processing
    • Review and process monthly payroll data for salaried employees, including accurate submissions to the Payroll Bureau, HMRC, pension providers, and other relevant bodies.
    • Calculate and apply adjustments for holiday pay, sick leave, pensions, benefits-in-kind, EV salary sacrifice schemes, and other payroll-related items.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll queries in collaboration with the HR team.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations regarding all payroll information.
  • HR Data Support
    • Collect, analyse, and interpret HR data such as headcount, performance metrics, and compensation trends.
    • Prepare clear and concise reports for HR and senior leadership using tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Finance Support
    • Reconcile and post payroll journals to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
    • Generate payroll summaries and reports for internal stakeholders and external bodies, including monthly Staff Reports.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, both digital and physical, including balance sheet management and reconciliation of payroll control accounts.
    • Distribute payroll-related data for capital projects and intercompany recharges.
    • Partner with departmental managers to develop the annual manpower budget and monitor ongoing expenditure against the approved budget, providing financial guidance as needed.
    • Undertake any additional duties as reasonably requested by the UK&I Head of Finance.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure all payroll activities adhere to HMRC regulations and statutory requirements.
    • Manage the payroll year-end audit process, including liaising with auditors to address and resolve any queries.
