Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to join a dynamic, fast‑paced finance team? Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Accounts Payable Specialist to take ownership of invoice processing, supplier management, and payment operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and verify supplier invoices in line with company policies, ensuring timely approval and payment.
  • Manage and maintain accurate supplier records, including payment terms, contact details and VAT information.
  • Prepare and execute supplier payments (BACS, CHAPS and other electronic methods).
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring supplier balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Handle supplier queries regarding payments and outstanding invoices professionally and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with finance and wider business teams to resolve issues related to purchase orders, expenses and invoicing discrepancies.
  • Support the finance team with month‑end deadlines and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Payable Specialist, or similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency using accounting software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
