Are you a Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA Management Accountant looking for a role that offers real ownership, development and the chance to influence how a business performs? Our client, a successful and expanding manufacturing business in Mitcham, is seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join their finance team. This position is ideal for someone who wants broader responsibility, hands-on exposure and the opportunity to work closely with operational teams. This is a great fit for someone who wants to go beyond producing numbers and be part of a team that uses them to drive real business performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate financial data within the ERP system (e.g., SAGE), including reconciliations and order flows
- Support the Financial Controller with month-end close, group reporting and analysis
- Prepare monthly reporting packs, KPIs and insightful management information
- Monitor key non-financial KPIs across production, labour, sales and customer service
- Support sustainability reporting and compliance through accurate data collection
- Take ownership of stock accounting including stocktakes, WIP, margin reconciliation and BOM creation
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting alongside wider operational teams
- Prepare cashflow forecasts for internal and group stakeholders
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and liaise with auditors
- Drive improvements to processes, controls and overall reporting efficiency
This is a role where you will gain exposure across all core areas of management accounting while progressing towards full qualification.
What We’re Looking For
- Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables; macros beneficial)
- Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (Sage 200 advantageous)
- Good understanding of month-end, reconciliations, WIP, stock and financial controls
- Someone analytical, proactive and confident challenging processes to make improvements
- Comfortable handling and interpreting large data sets
