SRM Recruitment is partnering with a highly successful global trading and technology‑led business to recruit a Financial Accountant into its growing London finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant to join a high‑performing, fast‑paced environment where finance plays a key role in supporting business growth, governance and strategic decision‑making.
Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will gain exposure to a broad range of financial reporting, control and process improvement activities, while developing your career within a dynamic international organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with statutory accounts production and external audit processes.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
- Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Support regulatory, tax and compliance reporting requirements.
- Assist with technical accounting matters and implementation of accounting policies.
- Partner with stakeholders across finance and wider business functions.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and control enhancements.
- Support finance‑related projects and business change initiatives.
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant with 1–3 years industry experience.
- Experience gained within practice, industry or a combination of both. (Big‑4 Preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
