We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director for a period of 6 months to provide stable, hands-on financial leadership during a key period for the business.
This role is focused on ensuring continuity, control, and consistent delivery across the finance function, while supporting the Managing Director and Board in maintaining business performance.
As Interim Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of finance, ensuring robust financial management, accurate reporting, and effective control of cash and costs. This is a "business as usual" role requiring a steady, experienced hand, alongside the ability to support ongoing commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the finance function, ensuring continuity and high-quality delivery across all activities
- Partner with the MD and Board to monitor performance against plan, with a focus on EBITDA and cash
- Oversee monthly reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), ensuring accuracy and clarity of insight
- Maintain and deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury requirements
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance
- Support ongoing operational and commercial decision-making with clear financial insight
- Provide leadership to the finance team, maintaining engagement, structure, and performance
- Qualified accountant with prior experience operating at Finance Director level
- Proven track record in interim roles or delivering in fast-paced environments
- Strong technical grounding combined with practical, hands-on delivery
- Experience within manufacturing or a product-based business is advantageous
- Calm, credible operator with the ability to quickly build trust at Board level
