We are supporting a global technology and business services organisation in their search for a Senior Finance Manager to join their UK&I finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This high-impact role plays a pivotal part in statutory reporting, tax compliance, and oversight of key financial operations across the region. You will manage one direct report and serve as a key liaison between the UK business, offshore teams, auditors, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of statutory financial statements and annual reporting under UK GAAP
  • Managing the external audit process through to sign-off
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies, particularly around IFRS 15, lease accounting, impairment and pensions
  • Oversight of tax compliance (corporation tax, RDEC, VAT) and liaison with external tax advisors
  • Leading month-end close and reviewing key balance sheet and journal entries
  • Reviewing group IFRS reporting deliverables and internal controls (including JSOX)
  • Partnering with offshore finance teams to ensure smooth operational finance processes (P2P, O2C, GL, treasury)
  • Supporting treasury, FX, and cash flow forecasting activity
  • Contributing to finance transformation projects, systems changes, and integration work
  • Advising on transfer pricing, bids, and due diligence for new client or internal initiatives

About You

  • ACA / CA qualified with 3-5 years post-qualified experience
  • Audit trained (Big 4 or top-tier practice)
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and experience preparing statutory accounts
  • Strong grasp of UK corporation tax, VAT, and international tax principles
  • Confident working with offshore teams and managing across cross-functional finance areas
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills; SAP experience a plus
  • Able to work autonomously and adapt to ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
  • A collaborative communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
