Our client is seeking a Commercial Accountant to join their busy finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate reporting and analysis that drives decision-making.

About the Role

You will manage financial figures within the ERP system, produce month-end reporting packs and support process improvements across the finance function. This is a hands-on role that involves liaising with auditors, preparing statutory accounts, contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. The position suits someone with an analytical background who thrives on data-driven work and enjoys collaborating with commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with large data sets to produce insightful analysis for commercial decision-making.
  • Maintain and reconcile financial data.
  • Prepare month-end reporting packs and statutory VAT returns.
  • Support annual budget and re-forecast processes.
  • Produce analytical reports comparing actual vs planned performance and recommend actions.
  • Assist with stock accounting, margin reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting.

Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, basic macros).
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of core finance functions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
