A well-established business with a sizeable distribution operation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day performance across a large DC and lead a strong, multi-layered team. This is a key leadership role that bridges the operational floor and senior management, requiring someone equally comfortable driving performance on the ground and communicating insight and results to senior stakeholders.

The Role

You will take full accountability for the end-to-end running of the distribution centre, covering goods in, goods out, inventory control and logistics. Leading a team of managers across these functions, you will also work closely with an embedded HR function to build and maintain a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a management team across all DC functions
  • Setting and driving performance against KPIs across productivity, accuracy, service levels and cost
  • Turning business objectives into clear, actionable operational plans
  • Providing regular performance reporting and insight to senior leadership
  • Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
  • Overseeing inventory accuracy, stock management processes and replenishment strategy
  • Managing outbound logistics including route planning, vehicle utilisation and delivery performance
