An excellent opportunity has become available for a permanent Group Accountant to join a market leading international business who have experienced year on year growth. This organisation pride themselves on low staff turnover.
Based on growth plans for the next 3-5 years, the company is looking to strengthen their team with a Group Accountant who will take ownership of:
- Group reporting consolidation
- Budgeting, forecasting planning
- Technical accounting projects - providing accounting support across complex areas and supporting accurate financial reporting
- Tax compliance and related tasks
- Systems process improvement
- Stakeholder engagement and liaison with non-finance colleagues by delivering clear, concise financial insights enabling informed decision-making to ensure adherence to relevant business and systems controls
- Audits - assist with statutory reporting and end to end audit process by resolving technical accounting issues and to meet reporting deadlines
Skills and experience required:
- Fully Qualified Accountant or QBE with a strong interest in reporting and technical accounting
- Proven track record in company reporting, consolidation and internal financial controls
- Ability to improve processes as well as interrogate and interpret data
- Proactive with the ability to influence decision making and build and maintain relationships internally and externally
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes at a group level
- Exposure to corporation tax and UK tax compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines using own initiative as well as working as part of a team
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Additional information:
- The role is office based in Woking a minimum of 3 days per week
- Due to where the offices are based, you will need to drive as the site is not accessible using public transport
- Only candidates with full eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship will be considered
- Interviews will take place the first week of August
