A growing business in the Stevenage area is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Credit Controller on a fixed term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven credit control professional to take ownership of the ledger and make a real impact from day one. About the role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the sales ledger and driving down aged debt. You will be a confident, self-motivated credit controller who can build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders alike.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the end to end credit control process across the ledger
- Chasing outstanding payments by phone, email and letter
- Reducing aged debt and improving cash collection
- Setting and reviewing credit limits and running credit checks on new accounts
- Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
- Resolving queries and disputes in a timely manner
- Producing debtor reports and providing updates to senior management
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key accounts
