Management Accountant

SRM Recruitment are partnering with an established organisation in Hertfordshire to recruit a Management Accountant into their finance team.
This is a broad, hands-on role offering responsibility across the full management accounting cycle, alongside the opportunity to work closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the wider organisation.
The role
Responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end close
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing clear commentary and financial insight to stakeholders
- Supporting annual budgets and ongoing financial planning
- Audit and year-end support
- Working closely with budget holders to understand performance and challenge variances
- Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
About you
We are keen to speak with experienced Management Accountants who can demonstrate strong hands-on accounting experience.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified candidates are preferred , however strong QBE, part-qualified or finalist accountants will also be considered where they have the right depth of experience.
Previous experience within a charity, not-for-profit or similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
You will ideally have strong experience across management accounts, month end, budgeting and forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and working with non-finance stakeholders.
