About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to oversee and manage a complex payroll function during a critical period. With over 2,000 employees and three separate monthly payrolls (PAYE, Contractors, and Incentive), this role requires a confident and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process three monthly payrolls (PAYE, Contractors, Incentive), each with regularly changing variables.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for 2,000 employees.
- Oversee and resolve complexities related to time and attendance data integration.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Liaise with HMRC and external stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with UK payroll legislation.
- Utilise Staffology payroll software to manage all payroll functions.
- Support existing payroll team members as required.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience managing payroll for large organisations (1,500 headcount).
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices.
- Experience running multiple payroll streams simultaneously.
- Comfortable navigating time and attendance complexities.
- Proficiency with Staffology is desirable.
