Interim Finance Process Manager (6-12 months | up to £375 per day | 3 days on-site | Start early June) Based near St Albans
We're working with a hands-on Finance Director to appoint an Interim Finance Manager who can strengthen the finance function during a busy delivery period. This is a finance-first role with a strong focus on producing clear and consistent management reporting, supporting with audit queries and statutory outputs. Writing and maintaining procedure documents for internal reporting and board packs. You’ll be someone who enjoys getting into the detail, refining processes, and creating order and clarity within finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Management Reporting
- Deliver monthly management accounts
- Refine internal reporting and contribute to board packs
- Draft clear, insightful commentary and visuals
- Support audit queries and documentation
- Review outputs like VAT, capital and statutory accounts
- Create user-friendly process notes and finance guides
- Reduce key-person risk by documenting key workflows
- Use Excel (Power Query a plus) to improve reporting and streamline recurring reports and reconciliations
- Work closely with the FD and wider team
- Support operational finance tasks and ad hoc needs
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or QBE with strong relevant experience)
- Background in finance operations, reporting, or process improvement
- Confident communicator with excellent written skills
- Strong Excel - Power Query a bonus
