What you will be doing:
- Invoice processing, payment runs, supplier reconciliations and query resolution
- Process consistency, compliance and controls across accounting standards, audit requirements and internal policy
- Month-end close activities including accruals, GRNI follow-up and variance commentary
- Owning the KPI and SLA framework that keeps the function running at pace
On the people side, you will:
- Lead and develop AP Team Leaders and Specialists through coaching, 1:1s and clear development frameworks
- Build a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement
- Handle stakeholder relationships across Finance, Procurement and Treasury with confidence and transparency
When it comes to improvement and compliance, you will:
- Identify and deliver automation and optimisation opportunities across the P2P cycle
- Champion digital tools including OCR and Power BI
- Own the AP risk and compliance framework globally, covering payment governance, VAT compliance and audit readiness
What we are looking for:
Essential experience and skills:
- Proven senior AP or P2P leadership experience within a complex, multi-market or global finance environment
- Strong working knowledge of end-to-end AP processes, controls and best practice
- Experience with ERP and AP workflow platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Workday
- Confident in data analysis and reporting, including Power BI and Excel
- A clear communicator who can translate complex operational issues into straightforward actions
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams through change
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience implementing automation or digital improvement programmes within an AP or P2P environment
- Working knowledge of VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Exposure to OCR invoice capture or workflow analytics tools
